My Wis is not -8. I went outside barefoot fully expecting my feet to hurt a bit and agreeing that CoolWeather Co. was not liable for any physical or emotional pain. (That didn't bother me much, and even wearing a short-sleeve shirt didn't harm me much.) I am not presently making any declarations about my exact Wis.

My little bro really is this cool. I may only have a minute C++ knowledge, but I can do this without much difficulty and without debugging (as long as I have a decent reference book.) I wrote this last night, not to tough to figure out. And it works!

#include <cstdio>
#include <cstdlib>
#include <iostream>

using namespace std;

int main (int nNumberofArgs, char* pszArgs[])

int awesomeness;
cout << " Enter how awesome you think Nicholas is, 1 through 3:";
cin >> awesomeness;

switch (awesomeness)
case 1:

case 2:
cout << "Not quite right. AIM HIGHER!";

case 3:
cout << "Right! But you could be MORE right! You know what I'm thinking, right?";

case 42:
cout << "As right as possible!";

cout << "Nice try, joker. Try entering 1, 2, 3, or 42.";

system ("PAUSE");
return 0;

OMG! I am writing this through Write Or Die, given to me by the creator, DrWicked! I am posting this through the "Post to Livejournal" option in the "save" menu. First thing that happened was my LOTD link was posted to the User Friendly site (VERY popular webcomic), so I sent an e-mail to DrWicked basically saying "Hey, I got this posted on LOTD on Userfriendly.com. I (very promptly) got an e-mail in return basically saying "Awesome! I was wondering why sales jumped! I used to read that comic!" (etc.) He also sent me a download link to Write Or Die Desktop Edition! This Write Or Die is really cool, it feels much smoother, and has tons of new features (like Word Wars!) Here's permalink to my LOTD submission. http://tinyurl.com/UserFriendlyLinkOfTheDay

I wrote 270 words (so far) today using Write or Die.

Not really that many, but I thought I'd post my progress anyway. :) I've been working on NaNoWriMo. ALSO: try Write Or Die, it's pretty cool. (I want the Desktop Edition!)

Weirdest. Dream. EVAR!!!
I think it beats dad's "Alexander unscrewed the toilet!" dream. I was with my grandmother and little bro, scootercomputer , and we were going to a Fred Meyer with a large parking lot. We spotted a "Free Fries Here!" building in the back of the parking lot, so decided to take a look at that first. It was a busy day, so while we were circling around the bach of the parking lot, I spotted a pagoda with various processed food stuff inside(at the moment, it was mostly Coke Zero). It looked free. After we circled around it  three times, I pointed it out. However, the contents had changed to two bottles of lemon-lime flavor Gatorade-like stuff. I took a closer look, and  the rings around it were supposed to keep your soccer ball at a stable temperature. (???) I grabbed one, and we went to the fry building. We went inside to find that they gave you as many small servings of fries on paper napkins as you wanted. I looked out the window, and saw that the free stuff pagoda was full again. We went out a few times to grab stuff from the pagoda, getting normal- size boxes of cereal with smaller boxes inside, big bags of cotton candy and the like. Right after I thought that someone might be dropping stuff from the top of the pagoda, I woke up.

I think it's time...
To install Linux on my laptop. Vista keeps inflating. I have not saved any major files, yet I just lost another of my last three GBs of space to updates. I might find the issue, so I guess it will wait...

Too... Excited...
I'm jittery even though I try to relax with some tea and a book, the excitement keeps giving me strange pangs of excitement. I think "What could be better to calm me about my about-to-be-fetched-DSi than a little creative writing about being excited? Who cares that I have a class coming for that task when I could start now?" So, even though I have already started, I may as well start. Any idea I get will flow out.

I am extremely excited about the DSi I am about to get. I have gotten a job, saved up, paid off the entire fee in advance, and twitched. Twitched a lot, actually. How can I describe this excitement? Hmmmm, how about me specifically staying away from sugar to try to keep as calm as possible. Even when I get this potentially awesome hardwars, I'll have wait another six hours (give or take) to use it anyway. In that time, I will twitch more. I will remain awake until the crak of dawn reading the manual, then wander about at the Science Center with it, hardly paying any attention. The day will zip by fast, and the next day I will ei -OH MY ITS--- MY RIDE IS COMing !!!!!!11!!!1!!!*various excited screams* escuse me, ther be miserable the entire day or my mork will zip by, and I'll spend most of the day playing, then end the day unhappily. Or there will be no unhappy. Only fate will tell. Now to prepare to go!11!!11!!11!!!!!!!

World Community Grid and helping the world via processor donations
I first found this site while reading User Friendly (a comic strip) at http://userfriendly.org/. I read this and then went to World Community Grid out of curiosity.

"Today is World AIDS Day. There are many ways you can help this important cause, but with Team UserFriendly.Org your computer can contribute, too. Don't waste those idle cycles — donate them to FightAIDS@Home, and your very own computer will be searching for potential HIV drugs.

This isn't a way for big pharmaceutical companies to rake in cash. All our work will be released into the public domain, and this is the first step to providing cheap, effective HIV drugs to developing countries.

Team UserFriendly.Org have entered the HRC World AIDS Day Challenge. This will be running all month, so keep those results rolling and we will see just how far we can go!"

I looked around on the site, and registered. I then spent two hours trying to find a simple solution to the problem ( as my computer runs on Ubuntu, I needed to make the shell script usable as a program by ticking a very obvious box in permissions that I floated past, so I went to IRC Ubuntu support and asked how to make it runnable.) I then closed an array of windows to find a folder containing the software. I ran an executable that launched it (YAY!!!!!!) and set it up how I liked it, then left it to help with AIDS research, all in a night's work. (If you follow this, you won't have too much clicking around aimlessly if you run on Ubuntu or another Linux distro. If you run on Windows or Mac, this process should be much easier. ) Of course, it is cross platform so Windows or Mac can donate too. Want to learn more or donate yourself? Go to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/index.jsp. I am posting on a different machine so more power going towards AIDS! By the way, you can donate to more than AIDS with this program. Some are the cure for cancer, rice for hungry countries, and more! If your computer idles a lot, this is a great way to help everyone!
